Paris Saint-Germain is already going through an unusual period at the start of the season. Beaten this Friday by AS Monaco at the Parc des Princes (1-2), the capital club has still not won a single match after three days of Ligue 1, not counting the defeat in the Champions Trophy against RC Lens… Before this new setback, Luis Enrique’s men had been held by Rennes (2-2), then Lille (2-2), bringing their record to two draws and a defeat.
Such a start had not been seen in Paris since the 2012-2013 season. At the time, PSG had also missed their first three matches, with three draws against Lorient, AC Ajaccio and Bordeaux. A precedent which can however reassure Parisians: despite this sluggish start, the club finished champion of France with twelve points ahead of OM, thus winning its first title under the QSI era.
