Hakan Çalhanoğlu only needed six minutes to open his account this season. For the first day of Serie A, Inter Milan hosted newly promoted Monza at the Giuseppe-Meazza stadium. Starting in the midfield, the Turkish international launched the Nerazzurri perfectly by scoring a superb goal in the 6th minute. On a back pass from Andy Diouf at the edge of the area, Çalhanoğlu took the ball with first intention and sent a powerful strike directly into the top corner of the helpless Semuel Pizzignacco.

A real missile to allow Inter to quickly take control of this first championship meeting. The 32-year-old player, always as dangerous when he has space to arm his strike, is thus starting his season in the best possible way with a spectacular first goal in Serie A. An achievement which also confirms his importance in the offensive animation of Inter, with Andy Diouf author of his first assist with Inter.
