Giroud, the big threat

Still just as essential to AC Milan at the start of the season, Olivier Giroud will however have to deal with competition from Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi, who should arrive from FC Porto.

After having recruited wingers Christian Pulisic, Samuel Chukwueze and Noah Okafor, each time for around 20 million euros, AC Milan will secure the services of a center forward in order to put Olivier Giroud in competition. As indicated Oh Jogo in Portugal, the Lombard club made an offer of 15 million euros plus 3 in bonuses to FC Porto for Mehdi Taremi, who is demanding his departure for Italy. A deal is near.

The 31-year-old Iranian striker will be a prime recruit for the Rossoneri. If Giroud remains a formidable pivot striker, at 36, the 2018 world champion making the happiness of the crack of the team that is Rafael Leao, Taremi, he is an outstanding finisher. He has been prolific with the Dragons over the past three seasons, scoring 23, 26 and then 31 goals in all competitions.
