The war between Javier Tebas and Real Madrid is far from over. While the Spanish Superior Sports Council (CSD) made a new request to the Administrative Sports Court (TAD), likely to result in its disqualification, the president of LaLiga reacted strongly on his social networks. In a long message, the Spanish leader denounced what he considers to be two-tiered treatment on the part of the authorities, in particular concerning the accusations regularly made by Real Madrid and its television channel against Spanish refereeing. “ Not a word of reproach from the Secretary of State for Sports nor from senior officials of the CSD regarding the accusations launched by the leaders of Real Madrid and their television channel against LaLiga and arbitration: corruption, rigged competition, leagues that stole from them… NOT A WORD. FOR WHAT ? », he got carried away. Tebas believes that these attacks directly damage the image of the Spanish championship and regrets the lack of reaction from the competent authorities.
The release comes as Javier Tebas himself faces criticism after comparing some of Real Madrid’s communication methods to propaganda techniques historically associated with the Nazi regime. The LaLiga president, however, maintains that he has never assimilated the Madrid club to this ideology. “ My message clearly distinguished between propaganda techniques and ideology.
