The crisis at OM reached a new milestone with a turbulent evening at the Commanderie on the sidelines of the squad being greenlit.

The crisis continues at OM, seventh in Ligue 1 two days before the end of the season. To try to revive the dynamic, management imposed four days of greening at the Commanderie in order to tighten the group and get everyone back in the same direction, especially after the last meetings.

The recent series of results is worrying. OM remain on four defeats in the last six championship matches, including a heavy disappointment in Nantes, where the Marseillais conceded three goals in eight minutes. A dynamic which has definitively ruled out the Champions League next season.

An impromptu evening

It is in this context that the decision to regroup the workforce was taken. At the end of the day on Thursday, the last evening of the camp, several players felt that the accumulated tension required a different outlet. According to Foot Mercatoan impromptu party would then have been organized within the Commanderie itself.

Damage was noted, with rooms turned upside down and a fire extinguisher emptied in the premises of a manager, facts which would have shocked several members of the staff present. The atmosphere was described by some internal witnesses as close to a “summer camp”, far from the setting usually expected in this type of green setting. Before the trip to Le Havre on Sunday (9 p.m.), the OM players left the Commanderie this Friday, the day after this eventful episode.
