Aston Villa: Agreement found between Girona and Álex Moreno

Álex Moreno is about to return to Liga. According to our information, the 32 -year -old Spanish left -back reached a contractual agreement with Girona for a contract until 2027. The discussions between the Catalan club and Aston Villa are well advanced and a deal seems to be close. The player, still under contract with the villans, no longer entered the plans of Unai Emery.

Loaned to Nottingham Forest last season, Álex Moreno had played 19 games in all competitions. Passed by Barça in the categories of young people, he notably revealed himself in Real Betis before joining England in 2023. His arrival would strengthen a workforce of the Girona FC which aims to do much better in Liga this season, after a 16th place during the 2024-2025 exercise.
