Bad news for Spurs. James Maddison is unfortunately the victim of a rupture of the previous cross ligament as Tottenham has just confirmed. He will be far from the field for around 6 to 7 months, according to information from the Bbc. This injury occurs after its premature release in the friendly match between Tottenham and Newcastle, where the Spurs drew (1-1).

Entered the 75th minute to replace Archie Gray, Maddison had to leave the ground only ten minutes later, victim of a knee pain which forced him to go out on a stretcher. His trainer, Thomas Frank, confirmed the severity of the injury, which represents a blow for Tottenham, who must quickly prepare the UEFA supercup against Paris Saint-Germain on August 13.
