Retired since 2017 and a visit to West Ham, Alvaro Arbeloa returned to Real Madrid, the club where he spent most of his career and with whom he won two Champions Leagues. The 2010 World Cup winner took charge of the Merengue U19 team in 2022, notably participating in the last three Youth League and has just taken over from Raul at the head of Castilla. The native of Salamanca is considered a blessing by the Madrid management on his ability to advance young elements as the note Marca.

This is particularly the case of a Gonzalo Garcia which he thus accompanied within his course and which is now fully integrated into the group of Xabi Alonso. Similar scenario for Jacobo Ramon who will have a card to play. However, he also enabled good financial operations to Casa Blanca. Precious in the evolution of the defender Chema Andrés, he saw the latter go for Stuttgart against 3 million euros. Same story for Nico Paz who is in Como and brought in 6 million euros. Youssef Enríquez who left for Deportivo Alavés brought 3.5 million euros also saw Alvaro Arbeloa having a major role in his development.

Alvaro Arbeloa succeeds at any level

The next player who could make a place for himself is Thiago Pitarch (17) that Alvaro Arbeloa had under his orders in U19 and could thus be promoted soon within Castilla. The young Hispan-Moroccan environment is particularly appreciated by the former right back. Alvaro Arbeloa has also enabled many players from the Real Madrid Academy to reach the national young teams in their country.

Thus, 17 have discovered this level of competition under the orders of Alvaro Arbeloa in 3 years. Among them, we find Diego Aguado, Jacobo Ramón, César Palacios or José Antonio Reyes. Passed at the head of the Castilla for a few weeks, he did not miss his debut with a heavy 4-0 victory against Marbella who played in the 3rd division. Real Madrid is already rubbing its hands.
