Barcelona for some time having been having a margin in its salary ceiling for some time to recruit new players.

Despite numerous softening of the expense rules, the Blaugrana are preparing to experience a new uncertain summer. And this, despite the rental of 475 VIP places for 30 years in December, for an amount of 100 million euros.

Since the infamous summer of “economic levers” four years ago, Barcelona has not yet reached the wage threshold. Last January, Barcelona found himself briefly in this situation, which allowed him to record Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, but this decision was only accepted after a legal challenge.

Barcelona will not respect its salary ceiling this summer

For the fourth consecutive summer, Rac1 reports that Barcelona will not respect its salary ceiling and will therefore be able to invest only 50 % of its sales and savings in new players this summer. The decisive factor seemed to be the possibility for Barcelona to include income from the rental of its VIP places, the audit firm Crowe having omitted them in its April accounts.

The Blaugrana endeavor to deliver the VIP places before the end of their fiscal year in June and to make Crowe return to the sale in their balance sheet. However, even if this approval is approved, it will not be enough to allow them to respect their salary ceiling.

Barcelona spends more than it wins under LAPORTA

On several occasions, President Joan Laporta said that he would return to the so -called 1: 1 rule, then claiming that the Liga had changed the rules or changed their minds on income that can be included in the calculations. However, Barcelona has struggled to achieve financial balance in recent years.

The board of directors stressed that without the devaluation of the Barca Vision product, it would have succeeded, but the Catalan giant ended the year with losses of just over 90 million euros.
