RMC, an important formalized departure

On May 5, The team announced that Nicolas Vilas and Thibaut Giangrande had decided to end their collaboration with the RMC-BFM group. Information officially confirmed by the latter, this Wednesday.

“I decided to leave RMC in early July, where I spent exceptional years. Free antenna, After Foot, After Lyon: we will have debated, laughing especially, and I think it's not over ”, wrote the radio journalist on his account X.

Arrived in the group on BMFTV, in 2010, after spending two years on Europe 1 Sport, Thibaut Giagrande will be able to activate the equivalent of a transfer clause. This provision allows a journalist to leave a press company from his own initiative, while receiving the dismissal allowances. It can be activated in the event of the sale of a newspaper or periodical.

RMC, departures in mess

Jean Souveguié, who started on RMC in 2001 by presenting the Journal des Sports in the morning, before becoming the “voice of football”, is also expected to leave in similar conditions. Information relayed by Clément Garin at the very beginning of the month, without the one who is nicknamed “Jano” denying it.

Last June, Altice Media, the parent company of the BFMTV and RMC radio television channel, was bought by the CMA CGM group, led by the billionaire Rodolphe Saadé. The amount of the transaction was then 1.55 billion euros.
