Massimiliano Allegri was heavily sanctioned after his behavior during the match between Napoli and Roma. The Azzurri coach received a two-match suspension for insulting the refereeing body in the 45th minute of the second half, then making comments deemed extremely disrespectful in the locker room. The technician also allegedly adopted an aggressive attitude towards a member of the opposing team. He will therefore miss the matches against Monza and Juventus.
Napoli quickly reacted to this decision by announcing their intention to appeal. “SSC Napoli, following the request for access to documents, announces its intention to appeal the two-match suspension imposed on coach Massimiliano Allegri”communicated the Italian club. It now remains to be seen whether this appeal will allow the technician to see his sanction reduced and to be present on the bench for his team’s next games.
