31 million euros. This is the total sum that the Liga clubs spent on this winter transfer window, for only 45 million euros in the departures column, an austerity record. Even though Barça was facing severe financial restrictions, the club has not sold this winter, preferring to calm the game to clean up their finances.

“This market has always been a moderate movement market and the objective is not to accumulate expensive players, but to train the best teams”explained the representatives of the Liga to justify this lack of activity on the transfer window. Note the numerous transfers on the Betis side, the most active club of this winter window, which notably recorded the arrival on loan from Antony, who came to replace Assane Diao Party in Como.
