Saka, the bad news

Arsenal won a precious victory this Saturday at Crystal Palace in the Premier League (1-5), but this triumph had a bitter taste. The Gunners were forced to see their gem, Bukayo Saka, leave the field prematurely, after just 20 minutes of play, due to injury.

After the match, Mikel Arteta confirmed that the England striker had suffered a hamstring injury. A disturbing image followed, that of Saka leaving Selhurst Park leaning on crutches.

A complicated sequence of matches without Saka

The young right winger is expected to be out for several weeks. A new challenge for Arsenal, but above all for the player himself, already deprived of competition for more than a month between October and November due to a physical problem in his leg.

The English vice-champions will have to cope without one of their major assets as they approach a particularly busy schedule. Between January 8 and 18, the Gunners will have to face Newcastle in the English League Cup, Manchester United in the FA Cup, before playing electric derbies against Tottenham and Aston Villa in the league.
