The evening was particularly eventful in the stands of the Parc des Princes. On the occasion of the Le Mans reception this Saturday, the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) decided to leave Virage Auteuil after an incident around a banner supporting high school students who had been mobilized for several days. According to L’Équipe, the group of supporters was not allowed to deploy their message, causing a protest movement and leaving part of the corner empty during the match. An unusual situation in the Parisian venue, where the CUP has played a major role in the atmosphere for several seasons.
Asked about this episode at a press conference after the meeting, Luis Enrique admitted to having noticed the movement without knowing the precise reasons for this protest. “I saw a little movement, but I don’t know why we did that. But it’s clear that I prefer it when they are in the stadium. When, like in the last minutes, everyone sings. That’s what we’re looking for. Afterwards, I don’t know what happened.”explained the Parisian coach.
