Lecce breathes better. After a nightmarish start to the season marked by 4 defeats in a row, the Puglia club is rediscovering the taste of victory. This Sunday against Monza, on the occasion of the 16th day of Serie A, Marco Giampaolo’s men won 2-1, their third success in their last 7 matches.

Tete Morente opened the scoring very early in the match on a serve from young Medon Berisha (1-0, 3rd), before Dorgu scored against his side and allowed Monza to come back (1-1, 37th). Meanwhile, Krstovic had also missed a penalty for the locals (13th), but finally redeemed himself by scoring the winning goal just before the break (2-1, 44th). In the ranking, this slightly more prosperous period results in a 13th place for Lecce. Monza is still not taking off and is stuck in 18th place after this 5th defeat in a row.
