After a first half of the season spent polishing the Real Madrid bench, Endrick made the decision to cross the Pyrenees to settle in Lyon. Loaned until the end of the current financial year, the Brazilian quickly found his feet and began to score goals. Despite a less good period, he seems to have found his rhythm in recent weeks. His father was delighted.
Questioned on ESPN this Saturday, Douglas Ramos confirmed that his footballer son had found “happiness” at OL. For his father, Endrick is much more fulfilled in the Rhône than he could be at the Santiago Bernabeu. The striker is in any case hard at work trying to score all the necessary points and convince Carlo Ancelotti to take him to the 2026 World Cup.
Douglas Ramos also spoke about it, notably evoking Endrick’s performance during Lyon’s success against PSG on April 19 at the Parc des Princes. “After the match against PSG, (Carlo) Ancelotti has even more to worry about. However, Endrick keeps his feet on the ground. He believes that if he plays well in the (latest) matches with Lyon, he will obtain his ticket for the World Cup. »
Endrick, a joy rediscovered at OL
Endrick’s father finally returned to this famous newfound joy of the footballer. “He finally found happiness. (…) What he wanted was to play football. In a sense, at Real, his playing field had been taken away from him.” A priori, the Brazilian will return to Real Madrid this summer, but will he have more minutes than before his recent departure? Nothing is less certain.
There will always be time for him to see what the Merengue club can offer him, in a sector of play already largely occupied by Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior, Gonzalo Garcia and other Rodrygo, when the latter returns from injury.
