Three jurors for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, surprisingly, did not place Kylian Mbappé in their Top 10.

The details of the Ballon d’Or 2026 votes, revealed this Friday evening by the daily

The Team
reserves some surprises. While Harry Kane won the trophy with only 28 points ahead of Kylian Mbappé, several jurors made particularly surprising choices, going so far as to exclude some of the big favorites from their Top 10.

If Harry Kane was crowned with 1,055 points, ahead of Kylian Mbappé (1,027 points) and Lamine Yamal (881 points), everyone was clearly not convinced by the performances of the first three in the ranking. The English striker, although winner with 40 first places, was thus forgotten by two voters: those from Ivory Coast and Mexico.

An even more surprising situation concerns Kylian Mbappé. The captain of the France team does not appear in the top ten of the jurors of Scotland, Greece and Ukraine. However, it appears in 97 of the 100 bulletins.

The very surprising vote of the Greek journalist

Lamine Yamal was not unanimous either. The Spanish prodigy was excluded from the Top 10 by four journalists: those from Belarus, Cameroon, Croatia and Greece.

The Greek bulletin is also particularly singular. Its author, Manos Staramopoulos, placed Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the lead, ahead of Rodri, Willian Pacho, Marc Cucurella and Joao Neves. Choices which illustrate the differences of appreciation between the jurors and which weighed heavily in the final result.
