Barça deleted the publications of the formalization of Cancelo's loan

João Cancelo is finally back in Barcelona… or almost. Indeed, the Catalan club formalized the return on loan of the Portuguese full-back, before suddenly deleting the announcement from its social networks. According to Blaugrana club sources interviewed by SportAl-Hilal requests a last minute document. The Iberian daily also reports that Barcelona management responded to the Saudi club’s request, and is now awaiting a response.

Loaned to FC Barcelona between September 2023 and June 2024, Cancelo played 42 games under Xavi (3,322 minutes played). Unwanted at Manchester City, he then left Europe to join the Saudi Pro League and Al-Hilal in August 2024, for 25 million euros. After a year and a half in Saudi Arabia, the former Juventus and Inter Milan player expressed his desire to return to the Old Continent. Once announced at Inter, he has always proclaimed his love for Barça.
