Antonio Raimondo’s serious injury caused a wave of particularly shameful reactions on social networks. Since the official announcement of the diagnosis, the last Instagram publication of Zakaria Aboukhlal, responsible for the gesture which affected the left ankle of the Frosinone striker, has been targeted. The Moroccan Torino player is the subject of insults, threats and even racist comments. Some Internet users send him messages such as “Carpenter, get to work!” », “retire!” » or even “You’re ruining people’s careers!” ». Attacks that go far beyond the scope of sports criticism.

This surge is all the more regrettable since Aboukhlal immediately apologized after the meeting. The midfielder wanted to express his regrets to Raimondo, ensuring that he had absolutely no intention of hurting him. “I’m sorry about Raimondo, I definitely didn’t mean to hurt him”he declared. A reaction which was clearly not enough to calm certain supporters, whose comments have since crossed a new limit.
