The Administrative Court of Sport (TAD) has opened a disciplinary file of “very serious” against Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, for the alleged disclosure of confidential information from FC Barcelona, according to several official sources and as reported Sport. The complaint was filed by Miguel Ángel Galán, president of the Transparency and Democracy in Sport Association, who accuses Tebas of revealing sensitive data related to the operations of the VIP boxes at Spotify Camp Nou. The origin of the conflict dates back to April 2, 2025, when LaLiga published a statement – removed a few days later from its website and social networks – claiming that Barça had not recorded 100 million euros from the sale of 475 VIP seats on time. The club immediately reacted by explaining that it had never authorized the dissemination of this financial information and accusing Tebas of having violated the duty of confidentiality.

The complaint addressed to the Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD), then transmitted to the TAD, is not limited to the VIP boxes: according to Galán, Tebas also revealed details about the change of auditor of the club, the assets of Barça and internal communications with the CSD. The file even includes a meeting between Tebas and Athletic Club executives regarding interest in Nico Williams, where provisional financial statements or internal audits were allegedly shared without authorization. Eighteen members of FC Barcelona officially support the complaint. If the offense is confirmed, Tebas could be punished with a public fine, a suspension of two months to a year, or even dismissal. This file adds to the institutional pressure on the president, already sanctioned in 2024 by the TAD for a previous disclosure of information, this time following a complaint from Real Madrid.
