The passage of Jacques Faty to
Marseille Olympicduring the 2007-2008 season, was not a real success. Barred as central defender by Julien Rodriguez and Gaël Givet, the Senegalese international only played thirteen matches for Marseille, before signing for FC Sochaux for one million euros.
