Reading everything and its opposite in the Spanish press, we didn’t really know where to turn in recent days in the Dani Olmo case. Until this laconic press release published by La Liga last night to confirm that the Spanish international (and incidentally Pau Victor) could not be registered for the second part of the season by Barça. “ FC Barcelona has not presented any alternative that, in accordance with LaLiga’s economic control regulations, allows it to register any player from January 2 »

For its part, the Catalan press had outbid, indicating that Barça was giving itself until January 3 to register its player, who did not seem so concerned about his situation as suggested in his Instagram post (emojis with colored of Barça had written “2025, it’s time”). An announcement effect, more than anything else, since at midnight, no one was really able to say that Barça would still be able to gain time for the registration of its player. But in recent hours, new elements have emerged, and they do not inspire optimism…

The Spanish Federation sides with La Liga

If we know that caution prevails regarding the veracity of the information from the Madrid press on Barça (A.S. And Marca never hesitating to try to put Barcelona’s rival offside), the article is signed by a journalist very close to Spanish football authorities. The latest bombshell published by A.S. suggests that the sale of Barça VIP seats in the coming days will not be sufficient to allow the club to register its two players with La Liga.

Clearly, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) will follow the line set by La Liga boss Javier Tebas and will not respond favorably to Barcelona’s request regarding Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. “It’s the rules and it’s Barça who should have respected the rules”explains, in essence, a source from the RFEF to A.S.. The coming days should provide us with new answers, but at the moment, this issue seems to generate more doubts than certainties in Barcelona.
