Regularly, the Transfermarkt site specializing in football statistics and the market value of players publishes a ranking of the most highly rated footballers on the planet. And the last hierarchy of the year 2024 reveals a clear loss of speed for Kylian Mbappé.

If this hierarchy remains dominated by the Norwegian striker of Manchester City Erling Haaland, valued at 200 million euros on the market, the latter finds himself joined to the nearest euro by the star of Real Madrid Vinicius Jr, freshly crowned with the Fifa trophy the Best. But no Kylian Mbappé on the third step of the podium like last October.

7 Blues in the Top 50

This time, the bronze medal goes to Lamine Yamal with exponential odds and now valued at 180 million euros. The FC Barcelona prodigy shares his third place with a merengue rival – Jude Bellingham in this case – the two phenomena being displayed at 20 million euros more than Kylian Mbappé, fifth from now on.

Next come Bukayo Saka (150 million), Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala, Phil Foden (140 million), Cole Palmer, Federico Valverde and Rodri (130 million). Note that six other French internationals appear in the Top 50 drawn up by Transfermarkt: Bradley Barcola, Michael Olise (65 million) Marcus Thuram (75 million), Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni and William Saliba (80 million).
