For the Spaniard, there is no doubt that the Citizens will get their heads above water and regain the level which has made them a winning machine since his arrival. This is what he promised supporters in comments relayed by Sky Sports.
“Since I was a player and then a manager, I want to do like everyone else, that is to say please people and do my job well. The greatest test comes when things go wrong and that is the case today. But we will come back. (…) I see the state of mind of the team, how they trained this week and how focused everyone is.”
Once again, the former coach of FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich cited injuries to explain the disastrous results of his team for several weeks.
“We have been consistent all these years. We don’t have them today, mainly because we have 7 or 8 important players who are injured. By playing every three days, it’s more difficult.”
