Far from the hustle and bustle of Madrid, in magnificent Andalusia, the Zidane siblings may have found their ideal playground. Zinédine Zidane’s three sons, still professional footballers, are playing in Andalusian clubs this season and the French football legend can easily go and support them at the stadium. Luca Zidane, 26-year-old goalkeeper, and Théo Zidane, 22-year-old midfielder, have shone in recent weeks in La Liga, respectively with Granada CF and Cordoba CF, after complicated starts to the season.

While Luca has won his number 1 place among the Nazaries, with an almost perfect last match against his former club Eibar, Théo continues to make differences for the Cordoba club. After winning his starting place in the fall, the midfielder, number 7 in the back, scored four goals and gave an assist during the last month and a half of competition. He shook the nets during the final success in Oviedo (2-3), on December 21, not without creating a little controversy since the native of Marseille touched the ball with his hand on his header (l video referee having validated the goal).

Théo Zidane among the best midfielders

Théo Zidane is thus rewarded with Marca by being cited among the best players in the Spanish D2. The Madrid media invites Internet users to vote for the eleven of the first part of the season and the third son of “Zizou” is submitted to votes among the midfielders, to establish what the newspaper describes as “engine room”. Santi Cazorla, 40, who plays for Oviedo, is also named in the middle, as is former OM striker Luis Suarez, author of 16 goals in 21 matches with Almeria.

In any case, Théo Zidane, former French U20 international, has definitively launched his career after his long years of training at Real. The central midfielder has just completed three full seasons with Castilla, the Merengues’ B team, in D3, and therefore has all the keys to establishing himself in Liga 2 or even the elite in the coming years. As a reminder, the eldest Enzo, 29 years old, stopped his career as a professional player and Elyaz, the youngest of the siblings, a 19-year-old full-back, plays in the B team of Real Betis (Spanish D3) without having, on the other hand, any playing time.
