A shadow hangs over FC Barcelona at the end of 2024, the specter of Dani Olmo not being definitively registered before December 31. Such an outcome would not only force the Catalan club to deprive itself of the Spanish attacking midfielder, but would also force the latter to see his season with the Blaugranas end prematurely.

The Barcelona Commercial Court has in fact refused to grant a precautionary measure to allow the registration of the former Leipzig member for the second half of the 2024-2025 season. However, encouraging echoes from the other side of the Pyrenees suggest that the Barcelona management has found a solution to this imbroglio.

Olmo saved by a financial windfall?

According to information reported by SportBarça leaders have chosen to monetize VIP seats at the future Camp Nou for a period of twenty years. This operation should bring in no less than 120 million euros, thanks to a partnership with a Qatari fund.

With this sum, the Culés should not only be able to finalize the registration of Dani Olmo, but also that of Pau Víctor, who finds himself in a similar situation. In addition, according to the Spanish media, this deal could also play a decisive role in the extension of the contracts of young gems Pedri and Gavi, under contract until June 2026.
