As the nightmare continues at Manchester United, Ruben Amorim is not letting the pressure get to him.

Manchester United continues its descent into hell. The arrival of Ruben Amorim on the Mancunian bench, supposed to mark a turning point, is struggling to produce the desired effect. The Portuguese technician, despite his efforts, fails to instill a dynamic different from that of his predecessor, Erik Ten Hag.

After narrow victories against Viktoria Plzen (2-1) in the Europa League and against Manchester City (2-1) in the Premier League, the Red Devils fell back into their ways. Beaten by Tottenham (4-3) in the Carabao Cup (English League Cup), they then suffered two consecutive defeats in the league, first against Bournemouth (3-0), then against Wolverhampton (2-0).

Amorim lucid about the situation

Despite this difficult record for United, Amorim keeps his cool. The former Sporting CP coach is nevertheless fully aware of the scale of the task facing him.

“You could say I’ve been here for a month and I’ve had four training sessions, but we’re not winning. This is reality and I am completely comfortable with it. I know my job. The Manchester United manager can never, whatever happens, be comfortable,” he commented.

“If we don’t win, it doesn’t matter if they pay the buyout or not, I know all the managers are in danger. We expect to win more matches, have players with more confidence and work to improve things.”said the former Benfica midfielder.
