Justice ruled on Thursday in the Paul Pogba case. Six relatives of the French international, including his brother Mathias Pogba, were found guilty of having kidnapped and blackmailed him in 2022 with the aim of extorting 13 million euros from him. The defendants received sentences of up to eight years in prison.

“There are no winners in this case which involves members of my family and people I have known since childhood. I can finally turn the page on this extremely painful period. This conclusion is an opportunity for everyone to focus on the future. Now that the judgment has been rendered, I can fully concentrate on my return to professional football,” he commented.
As a reminder, Pogba has been without a club since terminating his contract with Juventus Turin by mutual agreement last November. Regularly associated with Olympique de Marseille in recent weeks, the native of Lagny-sur-Marne has not yet chosen his next challenge.
