Knocked off the Premier League podium after Nottingham Forest’s new victory, Arsenal (4th) had to win at Crystal Palace to regain their third place. Opposite, the Eagles (15th) have not lost in the Premier League since November 9. Oliver Glasner’s men, however, lost against… Arsenal, in the League Cup, this week, with a hat-trick from Gabriel Jesus. It was also the Brazilian international who opened the scoring in this meeting between Palace and the Gunnersafter a cross from Gabriel (6th, 0-1).

The former Manchester City player took the opportunity to open his account in the league this season. If Ismaïla Sarr gave Palace hope after a nice strike from the right (11th, 1-1), Arsenal quickly regained the advantage thanks to Jesus (14th, 1-2). Kai Havertz then gave the London club a two-goal lead (38th, 1-3). Gabriel Martinelli (60th, 1-4) and Declan Rice (85th, 1-5) completed the victory for Mikel Arteta’s team in the second act. With this great success, Arsenal regains third place in the Premier League standings. Palace is 15th position.
