The name of the French coach is once again associated with that of the Italian team Naples.
Christophe Galtier, the former PSG coach, is currently with friends in Qatar, with Al Duhail. But, he may not stay in the Gulf for very long. A return to a major European championship could come his way in the coming days.
The name “Galette” is circulating again in Italy and more precisely near Naples. It is rumored that Aurelio De Laurentiis, the boss of the Partenopei, would be ready to part ways with his current coach Walter Mazzarri. And he would even like to do it before the Champions League match against Barcelona, scheduled for Wednesday.
De Laurentiis has not forgotten Galtier
The Neapolitan president would have lost patience after the poor performance conceded against Genoa (1-1), Saturday evening in the championship. With this hitch, the reigning Italian champion finds himself 9e in the standings, and 9 points from the places giving access to the Champions League.
As a reminder, Galtier had already been in contact with Naples. It was as recently as last summer. Ultimately, it was a compatriot who was preferred to him, in the person of Rudi Garcia. The latter only stayed in place for a few weeks before being dismissed.
