Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger is in great form this season.
While Los Blancos conceded three goals for the second time this season, he continued to make the difference against Atlético Madrid in the 5-3 victory in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup. Not to mention that he found the time to make Alvaro Morata’s evening particularly uncomfortable.
Rüdiger has been at the heart of Spain’s best defense this season, but it was at the other end of the pitch that he headed the equalizer from a Mario Hermoso corner in the 20th minute to put both teams back tied. The header was fine, but many will remember Rüdiger’s contribution off the pitch, when cameras filmed him twisting the nipple of Alvaro Morata, his former Chelsea teammate.

The referee did not notice this and, although there is no protocol for damaged nipples, Rüdiger’s attempts to distract Morata are most likely unsportsmanlike behavior. The Berlin defender is known for his quirks on the pitch, which include annoying opposing attackers in any way he deems possible.
