Depay saves Atlético

The former Lyonnais scored twice to save Atlético from a bad start on the Lugo pitch (1-3), in the Copa del Rey.

Atlético de Madrid suffered to qualify on the Lugo field (1-3), in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey. The Colchoneros had opened the score very quickly, through Angel Correa (2nd), but the residents of Primera RFEF (the equivalent of National 1 in France) equalized through Antonetti (39th).

Diego Simeone reacted by launching Antoine Griezmann, Koke and Rodrigo de Paul at the break, but it was Memphis Depay who saved his team by scoring a double (66th, 74th). These are the first two goals since August for the Dutchman, who has been content with substitute status since his return from injury.
