Romelu Lukaku scored a quadruple in 37 minutes with Belgium against Azerbaijan on Sunday and is the top scorer in the Euro qualifiers with 14 goals. It would be a historic record if it were to stay there.

First selection qualified for Euro 2024 (last October 13), Belgium concluded its qualifiers with a 5-0 victory against Azerbaijan, Sunday at the King Baudouin Stadium, to ensure top seed status during the competition draw on Saturday December 2. The Red Devils will avoid Germany, Portugal, the French team and probably Spain and England.

Romelu Lukaku, captain of the Belgian selection, struck hard by achieving a nice quadruplet in the space of 37 minutes, with two headed goals from crosses from Jérémy Doku (17th) and Wout Faes (30th), but also two achievements of the law on the services of Timothy Castagne (26th) and Orel Mangala (37th). Leandro Trossard scored the last goal for the team led by Domenico Tedesco at the end of the match on an overflow from Doku (90th).

Lukaku finishes the qualifiers with 14 goals and breaks the record for goals scored during a qualifying campaign (ahead of the 13 goals of Robert Lewandowski during the Euro 2016 qualifiers and the Northern Irishman David Healy during the Euro qualifiers 2008). Cristiano Ronaldo (10 goals), Kylian Mbappé (9) and Harry Kane (8) have not yet played their last qualifying match.
