This is a never-before-seen Champions League poster. Newcastle welcomes Paris Saint-Germain for the second day of the Champions League in Group F. Building on their last five matches without defeat, the Magpies, hanging on to Milan two weeks ago (0-0), will try to delight their supporters who are rediscovering the European atmosphere at St James’ Park after 20 years of absence in the premier competition. The Parisians remain in a bitter draw on the Clermont pitch (0-0) but will try to reproduce their good performance from the first day against Dortmund (2-0). The meeting can be followed live with commentary from 9 p.m.

For this match, Eddie Howe, deprived of Barnes, Botman, Willock, Joelinton and Wilson, lines up a 4-3-3 without any big changes in his usual eleven. Bruno Guimaraes and Longstaff will accompany Tonali, uncertain for a few days but finally present, in the middle of the field. Lascelles makes up the central defense with Schär in the absence of Botman while Isak starts up front. On the PSG side, Luis Enrique is still deprived of Nuno Mendes, Kimpembe, Asensio and Lee, who left to play the Asian Games. The Spanish technician disrupts his plans and aligns four offensive players: Mbappé-Dembélé on the wings and Kolo Muani-Ramos on the front of the attack. Vitinha suffers from this and starts on the bench.

The official compositions:

Newcastle: Pope – Trippier, Lascelles, Schar, Burn – Bruno, Longstaff, Tonali – Almiron, Isak, Gordon

PSG: Donnarumma – Hakimi, Marquinhos, Skriniar, L.Hernandez – Zaire-Emery, Ugarte-Dembélé, Kolo Muani, Ramos, Mbappé
