During his presentation as a new Lazio player, the French international defended himself against those who attacked him.
Mattéo Guendouzi has just changed clubs and championships by signing for Lazio Rome. The French international is rather happy to be far from France, because he was starting to get tired of the criticism he received in his country.
Guendouzi does not want to change his personality
Guendouzi is said to be a temperamental player who doesn’t allow himself to be stepped on. The former Gunner is also a great competitor, who finds it difficult to be a substitute. A personality that he assumes perfectly however.
“I have a pretty strong personality, I’m myself, I don’t change, I’ve been like that since I was a player, he confided during his presentation as neo Biancocelesto. I want to give everything and always be the best, sometimes I know I have extreme reactions on the pitch, but that’s how I am, I give everything to win.”
Guendouzi is revengeful after his complicated end to his story with OM. And he believes he can bring a lot to Lazio. “We all have different qualities on the pitch. If they chose me, maybe it’s because I have something different from the others. I bring energy, quality with the ball and also experience. I’m young but I’ve already played a lot of matches in Europe and in the league.”
Maurizio Sarri, the coach of the Roman team, must think the same thing, he who was very complimentary of his new recruit after his encouraging debut against Naples (2-1).
