Pending the finalization of his transfer to Inter Milan, which is delayed by Bayern Munich, Benjamin Pavard decided not to train on Wednesday, claiming to be sick.
Benjamin Pavard can’t take it anymore and that’s understandable. The French international has been pending transfer to Bayern since last May, after deciding not to extend, one year from the end of his contract. After being in the sights of Barça and especially Manchester United, the 27-year-old recently chose Inter Milan, where Simone Inzaghi is publicly waiting for him to start him in his 3-5-2.
An offer of 28 million euros (plus 5 as a bonus) has been accepted by the Munich club, but the latter does not yet want to validate the departure of the 2018 world champion before finding a new defender (a central capable of evolving right, preferably). Pavard is therefore in the waiting room and, in this frustrating situation, he refused to train on Tuesday, saying he was sick, as indicated by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Recruited in 2019 from Stuttgart, the Northerner played 163 matches with FC Bayern, for 12 goals scored. He had the full confidence of Hansi Flick until 2021, before being less essential as a holder under the orders of Julian Nagelsmann then Thomas Tuchel.
