It was in the works and it’s now official. Thierry Henry was named the new coach of the France Espoirs team on Monday and succeeds Sylvain Ripoll. The 1998 world champion beat candidates like Jocelyn Gourvennec Sabri Lamouchi or Julian Stéphan for the position.
The former top scorer in the history of the France team has been named unanimously. After AS Monaco and the Montreal Impact, “Titi” will lead his third team as head coach but above all for the first time he will represent his country.
The goal of the Arsenal legend will be clear: to restore the image of the France Espoirs team but also to guide the country to victory at the Olympic Games in Paris next year.

The 46-year-old man will surely be presented to the press in the coming days. The FFF makes a nice move by securing the services of a legendary player.
