FC Barcelona have declared their interest in Joao Felix, while the Portuguese striker has made only one public comment this summer: he wants to join the Blaugrana.
However, a series of conditions must be met before he can take the train to the northeast of Barcelona.
Following reports on Sunday evening that FC Barcelona are considering offering Atletico Madrid Ansu Fati in exchange for FelixSport claim that this eventuality is highly unlikely.
Javier Miguel, journalist of Diario ASclaims that the reason why FC Barcelona told Felix that any deals wouldn’t come until late in the transfer window is exactly that, and there seems to be a consensus that he will only go to Barcelona behind two other players.
Xavi, who does not consider Felix a priority, first wants a right-back (Joao Cancelo or Juan Foyth) and a midfielder (Bernardo Silva or Giovani Lo Celso), before considering his arrival.
In the meantime, the club are clear that there must be exits before Felix comes. In theory, it would be Fati or Ferran Torres. The former is of interest to the Premier League and Bundesliga, but has so far refused to leave the club – Barcelona would accept a suitable transfer or loan.
