Joao Felix appears to be moving away from Atletico Madrid ahead of the start of the 2023/24 season.
The Portugal international has been linked with a possible departure from the club before the summer transfer window closes.
Previous reports of Saudi Arabia’s transfer interest have faded with Felix not interested in leaving Europe as he remains hopeful of joining FC Barcelona.
The situation is still unresolved ahead of the start of the new campaign, with Atlético hosting Granada on August 14 in the Spanish capital.
It’s almost certain Felix won’t start as Diego Simeone doesn’t see him as part of his current first-team plans.
According to Marca, Felix didn’t take part in an 11v11 training match ahead of the game against Granada as Simeone hinted he had no intention of playing him.
Felix was then included in the “reserve eleven”, but his chances of playing before the end of August seem minimal.
