The 2022-2023 season has been over for a week, and it will not be remembered by Lyon, at least in sporting terms. The time has come to deliver the report cards to Laurent Blanc players.
The departure of Jean-Michel Aulas necessarily marked the end of the OL season, the emblematic Lyon manager being fired bluntly by John Textor. But sportingly, the subscribers of Groupama Stadium will have had only a few opportunities to catch fire, as the formation trained by Peter Bosz and Laurent Blanc has been on alternating current. Witnesses to the 38 games of Olympique Lyonnais this season, the journalists of Progrès collected the copies on Monday, and issued the ranking of OL players in this championship based on the scores given at each game. In order not to penalize a player who would not have had too much opportunity to be aligned, the regional daily only classifies those who have played at least 20 of the 38 matches of the Ligue 1 season. And inevitably, there has a big winner and it’s not really a surprise.
Lacazette did well for his return to Lyon
In one year, he scored 3⃣1⃣ goals and became the second top scorer in our history! 🔥✨

Alexandre Lacazette, back at Olympique Lyonnais, hit hard by ranking second top scorer in Ligue 1 behind Kylian Mbappé. And throughout the season, the General was one of the few OL players to measure up, which earned him first place in the standings with an average score of 5.88 out of 10. Note that Le Progrès gave a 10 out of 10 to Lacazette for his incredible quadruple in the legendary OL-Montpellier match. In the standings, the Lyon striker is ahead of Anthony Lopes, a regular on the podium, who obtains 5.82, the goalkeeper ahead of Maxence Caqueret (5.62). At the bottom of the ranking, where the Boateng, Toko Ekambi and other players who have not been aligned enough do not appear, we find Sinaly Diomandé, the Ivorian international defender with an average of only 4.71. The editorial staff of Le Progrès specifies that if we reduce the scores to playing time, three players win the day: Dejan Lovren (5.93), Saël Kumbedi (5.91) and Bradley Barcola (6.13).
