  • Thanks for the podcast, would have preferred some analysis of the defensive frailties at l’OM, looks like being a real problem.

    • Sorry but we can’t talk about every club every week. Jon and I both watched PSG v Lorient when Marseille were on, it’s a long season and I’m sure we will talk about them loads

  • I’d prefer you not talk about OM at all. :). I’m a little more optimistic about PSG than you are. Hoping it’s first game jitters with new players. But I could be really wrong. Sakho looked awful.

  • Jon might like the following:
Ok Evian bottled it, but don’t you think too that Brest made a tit of themselves? 😉

  • Haha. Very good, already got a list of Brest comments to make when the opportunity arises!

Like Andrew said, we can’t talk about every team every week but we’ll do our best to get an even spread throughout the year.

Not pessimistic about PSG necessarily, just trying to be realistic. Although they have the best team on paper, everybody knows that it takes time to gel and the fact that so many players had such a bad game on Saturday suggests that maybe Kombouare should have used some of the older players from last season together. Then he could have slowly integrated the newer ones and avoided such a poor showing.

I am personally very optimistic about the season ahead but I also feel that PSG fans should be realistic about their hopes and not expect too much, too soon.

  • @Andrew – And fair enough. Just noted it was one of the poorest bits of marking from the weekend. The show is most enjoyable, Iparticularly enjoyed the interview with the Rennes fan last week.

    • Glad you enjoyed the show mate, and the interview with Bastien, hope to get some more fans and journos on this season, looking to try and maybe get a few players on 🙂

  • This was quite an entertaining one. I like the little disagreements you two had on a few points. Battle podcast! Jason referees!
