This Saturday evening, as part of the 31st day of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain hosts the Parc des Princes Le Havre. A match which, barring any surprises, should crown Luis Enrique’s men.

The capital club is on the verge of winning the 12th French championship title in its history. Present at a press conference this Friday, Stade Brestois coach Éric Roy has already congratulated the Parisian players for this title which is about to be acquired.

For the French coach, PSG is a great champion. The 56-year-old also took the opportunity to send compliments to Luis Enrique who has done remarkable work within the Ile-de-France club since his arrival this summer.

If I say that it’s not a great champion… It’s the best team in the Championship. When we played against them, we often thought we could get a result, it was quite frustrating (2-3 first leg, 1-3 in the Cup)we were rewarded in the return match at the Parc (2-2). I have a lot of respect for Luis Enrique who I consider to be a great coach. He manages a talented team with great qualities. Who can say he’s not a fine champion? » he said.

Brest must raise its head

Third in the standings with 53 points on the clock, Stade Brestois is well placed to qualify for the next edition of the Champions League. However, SB29 must recover at the end of the season.

Éric Roy’s men are on a series of two consecutive defeats in Ligue 1 (defeats against Lyon and Monaco). The Brestois must absolutely raise their heads this Sunday against Stade Rennais to escape this negative spiral but above all to secure their place in C1 as quickly as possible.
