Lille won at Le Havre this Saturday, thanks in particular to Jonathan David’s hat-trick (0-3, 6th day of Ligue 1).

At kick-off, the accounting gap was insignificant between Le Havre and Lille. Eleventh in the standings, one point behind Losc, the Norman club secretly hoped that this snapshot would be reflected on the pitch. Unfortunately for him and his supporters, Le Havre was outclassed by a team quite clearly above him in all areas of the game. Winner of this duel (0-3), Lille returned to a success which had eluded them for three days in Ligue 1.

Led by a successful Jonathan David, Losc opened the scoring in the twenty-third minute, then made the break, again thanks to his Canadian international (0-2, 35th). Enough to calmly return to the locker room with a more than logical lead. Dominated and without success on their too rare forays into the last meters of the opponent, the Le Havre ended up conceding a new goal, with a hat-trick in due form for David (0-3, 79th).

Gomes misses his penalty

The score could have gotten worse for the locals, but Angel Gomes, who had just won a penalty for a foul by Arthur Desmas, came up against the latter when trying his luck (90th + 5). In the provisional ranking, Lille climbs to fourth place, while Le Havre, after this third consecutive defeat in the championship, falls to thirteenth place.
