UEFA has imposed a fine and a travel ban on its supporters on FC Barcelona due to a banner displayed last week in Monaco.

The banner did not go unnoticed… During their trip to Monaco (2-1) last Thursday on the occasion of the first day of the Champions League, FC Barcelona supporters displayed a banner of questionable taste to pay tribute to their new German coach, Hansi Flick.

“Flick Heil”, was the message from the Blaugranas, in a very unwelcome reference to the Nazi regime. UEFA has decided to crack down and “to sentence FC Barcelona to a fine of €10,000 (…) due to the racist behavior of its supporters. »

At the same time, FC Barcelona supporters will no longer be able to access the visitors’ parking lot for the Catalans’ next away match in the Champions League. It will be the trip to the pitch of Red Star Belgrade during the 4th day, on November 6.
