As expected, Adrien Rabiot should not play his first match with OM this weekend against OL.

Arriving in Marseille on Monday evening and officially presented on Wednesday, Adrien Rabiot is not present this Friday at the collective training of OM, according to RMC Sport. Therefore, as he had suggested during his press conference, the former Parisian should not be in the Marseille group that travels Sunday evening to Lyon, at the end of the 5e Ligue 1 day.

I’ve been keeping myself in shape, of course. But it’s true that I’m not at my best either, Rabiot confided during his presentation on Wednesday. I worked individually, and it’s also important to work collectively. And it’s important to get into position at the tactical level. But I feel good. As you can imagine, it’s a bit short for this weekend but I hope to be available soon.”

Rabiot: “I want to be ready to give my all”

And the “Duke” added about his physical condition: ” For Sunday, it’s too short. We’d have to talk with the coaches and physical trainers. I can’t guarantee that I’ll be there the following weekend. There are still things to put in place. I know that I’m expected but I want to be ready to give my all.”

Although he trained alone on his side, Adrien Rabiot has not played a single match since the semi-final lost by Les Bleus against Spain at Euro 2024. And Marseille supporters will therefore have to wait a little longer to see the French international make his big debut in his new colours.
