Freshly transferred to OL, Jordan Veretout spoke about the complicated end of his adventure with OM.

Among the best players of OM last season, Jordan Veretout was invited this summer to leave the Phocaean city. With the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi on the Olympian bench, several players, including the French international or Samuel Gigot, Azzedine Ounahi, Chancel Mbemba, were placed in the “loft” while waiting to find an exit door.

A situation that was badly experienced by Jordan Veretout, who ended up joining Olympique Lyonnais after the summer transfer window closed as a “joker”, for a fee of 4 million euros.

Veretout: “These are difficult times for a player”

“These are difficult times for a player. It’s hard to train alone, without access to the professional group. I thank my loved ones who stayed by my side”Jordan Veretout confided during an interview with OLPLAY.

And the 31-year-old midfielder added: ” The joy of living is what kept me going. When you’re in complicated times like that, you just want to enjoy yourself, to play. The best solution was Olympique Lyonnais, but it took time, and we were impatient.” Now at OL, Veretout will return to his former club this Sunday evening in Lyon, for the first Olympico of the season.
