Nostalgic, Antoine Griezmann posted a message of thanks on his social networks on Monday, a few days after the closing of Paris 2024.

The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games are now part of history. Held between the end of July and the beginning of September, these two events will have left their mark on the French and sports lovers around the world. Particularly active on his social networks during this period, Antoine Griezmann turned the page for good by posting a message on Monday evening. A few words filled with nostalgia, but also joy.

The Olympic Games are over… But what a blast! Thanks to everyone for following me throughout the games, especially by using the #MedalAlert tag. “And the Atlético de Madrid player adds up: ” It has been used 142,000 times, with over 100 million impressions and 5 million likes. Thank you (…) and long live France. » A post which was once again widely commented on by Internet users who thanked “Grizou” for his unwavering interest in these 2024 Olympic Games.

See you in 2026?

With his tag, Antoine Griezmann celebrated the good results of the French athletes throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games. With each medal won by one of them, the French international posted an alert to warn of the good news. Now, the 2024 Olympics are behind us, but many have already asked the former Barça player to return with his famous alerts, during the next Winter Olympics which will take place from February 6 to 22, 2026 in Italy, more precisely in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Although he has not yet confirmed that he will return to action as he did for Paris 2024, Antoine Griezmann is currently focused on his new season with Atlético de Madrid. After some unconvincing recent gatherings with the French team, he has partly found his smile again with his club, having notably scored this weekend during his team’s success against Valencia FC (3-0).
