Erling Haaland has started the 2024-2025 season on a crazy basis. Already the author of four goals after two matches, the Norwegian striker scored a hat-trick with Manchester City on August 31 on the West Ham pitch, on the occasion of the third matchday of the Premier League.
Every time the 24-year-old striker achieves such a feat, his team-mates are expected to sign the match ball. However, some surprising messages have appeared on the leather. “F**k off”we could read after the match against Ipswich.
“I’m tired of having to sign these balloons,”
was written on the opposition ball against West Ham. But who is the author of these strange writings?
De Bruyne and Doku search for the culprit
Kevin De Bruyne assures that it was not him.
“Am I also tired of signing these balls? Yes. But I didn’t write these messages. Grealish maybe? Honestly, there are a lot of possible suspects,” joked the Citizens’ number 17 during an interview with
VTM. “I think it’s Jack (Grealish)imagine on his side Jeremy Doku.
Well, I’m not sure. He’s sitting next to me in the locker room and I haven’t seen him write on it. But he’s the funniest guy in the group and he might just do that.”
Arriving at Manchester City in the summer of 2022 from Borussia Dortmund, Erling Haaland has already scored 97 goals in 102 matches for the English club, in all competitions.
