This is at least what the balance sheet presented on Monday by the Madrid management for the 2022-2023 financial year suggests. The figures are relayed by AS which indicates that merengue revenues have increased to 843 million euros, a first at this stage since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. What ended a year with a small profit of 11.8 million euros, with cash showing 128.2 million euros on the counter. The media also specifies that several lines of credit also appear in this balance sheet, for a total available amount of €265 million and making it possible to “easily” deal with “ expected payment commitments“.
Bernabeu almost finished
The addition of the two amounts would therefore provide a monetary capacity of nearly €400m (€393m exactly) with a view, for example, to the acquisition of Kylian Mbappé. At the same time, the work on the renovated Santiago Bernabeu is coming to an end and everything should therefore be ready to welcome the tricolor nugget in a year. And if it’s before, Real Madrid should have broad enough financial shoulders to afford it.
