Continuation of the 3rd day of Serie A this Saturday evening. The Bologna club welcomed Empoli on the pitch of its Renato-Dall’Ara stadium. With the departure of Thiago Motta and some key players like Joshua Zirkzee and Riccardo Calafiori, the Rossoblu have had difficulties in these first championship matches with only one point taken in two games. The duel of the day had started well with the opening of the score by Giovanni Fabbian (2nd) before the immediate equalizer by Emmanuel Gyasi (3rd). Final score (1-1) and Bologna is therefore still looking for its first victory.
In the other match, Cagliari travelled to Puglia to challenge the Lecce club and their many French players (Frédéric Guilbert, Balthazar Pierret, Rémy Oudin) who were starters and present on the match sheet, on the pitch of the Ettore Giardiniero – Via del Mare stadium. During a balanced match, Lecce opened the scoring thanks to Nikola Krstović (26th). The exclusion of Patrick Dorgu unbalanced the team’s system but the players held on well to pocket the victory (1-0).
